The Nilax Engineering Filter Press is a robust and efficient filtration system designed for solidliquid separation in pharmaceuticals, bulk drugs, distilleries, beverages, fine chemicals, and allied process industries. The unfiltered liquid is fed into the filter press under positive pressure, flowing through the filter plates fitted with suitable filter media. Suspended solids are retained by the filter media, forming a uniform filter cake on the plates.

The clarified filtrate passes through designated filtrate channels and is discharged through the outlet. Filtration continues until the cake reaches its maximum holding capacity or until the flow rate reduces due to increased cake resistance. The filter press allows efficient cake formation and easy discharge after completion of the cycle.
